Muhammed Ali, who passed away on June 3 2016 at the age of 74, was not only known for his skill in the ring but also a man who was known for his witty words. He was also known as the Louisville Lip.

Here are ten (10) of his greatest quotes:

I’m not the greatest. I’m the double greatest. Not only do I knock ‘em out, I pick the round. I’m the boldest, the prettiest, the most superior, most scientific, most skillfullest fighter in the ring today.”

1974 – At the Rumble in the Jungle, Zaire when he fought with George Foreman

Float like a butterfly sting like a bee – his hands can’t hit what his eyes can’t see.”

I’m so fast that last night I turned off the light switch in my hotel room and got into bed before the room was dark.”

Champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.”

1975 – The Thriller in Manilla, Philippines when he fought with Joe Frazier

It will be a killer and a chiller and a thriller, when I get the gorilla in Manila.”

    Other quotes….

‘If you even dream of beating me, you better wake up and apologize.’

“I am so mean, I make medicine sick”

“I’m a poet, I’m a prophet, I’m the resurrector, I’m the savior of the boxing world. If it wasn’t for me, the game would be dead.”

“There are two things that are hard to hit and see, that’s a spooky ghost and Muhammad Ali.”.

His last quote is from his interview with David Frost – 1972 on how he wanted to be remembered. David Frost asked “What would you like people to think about you when you’ve gone?”

    Here is his response:

Straight talk. I tell it like it is. Obvious but elusive. I do love technology and marvel comics/films. No you can't see me. I am like "The Stig" in Top Gear or like Lagbaja. Now you see me, now you don't
