Google is testing out a way for people to check their internet speed by simply searching for “internet speed test” into Google search. Well, this is feature emerged a month right after Netflix released its own internet speed test website Fast.com.
As of this moment, searching for your internet speed doesn’t necessarily give us the results we’d expect but this was spotted by Twitter user Pete Meyers who noticed Google’s Measurement Lab tools.

Pete Meyers, tested this feature and posted a screenshot and also showing us a Google Support web page detailing how it works. And if we’re to go with this report, Google’s speed results doesn’t seem to be as quick as that of Fast.com but we could be wrong since this is all we have on this new speed test feature. Worldwide availability is unknown as of now but this post will be updated if anything comes up.
