Google says it is set to train another 1 million students in its Digital Skills for Africa programme in the next 12 months as the tech giant celebrates the milestone of training 1 million Africans across the continent in the last 10 months.

In order to expand the initiative, Google intends to include more countries and regions in the Digital Skills for Africa initiative, add more offline versions of online training materials for low net access areas and also give instructions in new languages including IsiZulu, Swahili, and Hausa.
The programme made its debut in 2006 and has a goal of training 1 million Africans annually. It features online and face-to-face interaction with startups and individuals via 14 partners from 27 African nations.
