Google Search Gets Interactive Periodic Table (And Other Learning Tools)

Google has introduced a periodic table to its Search platform that Learners and Educators can interact with in order to learn more about the elements. The way to access it is through Google’s Google’s Art Experiment, or just type “Periodic Table” in search and tap “Explore Elements” which is a button on the right side of the page.

The periodic table was announced along with several new features which the company added to it Google’s Assistant to help families. This also includes an update to the Family Bell reminder. A report by How-to Geek notes that Family Bell will now work on mobile devices, and you can now initiate a checklist on a Nest Hub.

Family Bell is a program built by Google to ping users in a household to remind them of something on their Google Home device. Now, Google has made it possible for you to use Family Bell on mobile devices, not just Nest displays and speakers. Plus, Google ensures that you can start a checklist for your family on the Nest Hub. So, if you have a lot of things for your family to do, this feature can come in handy for you.

Routines are another feature getting an upgrade today, as Google announced that you can have Assistant automatically start your morning routine as soon as you dismiss your alarm. When you’re half asleep in the morning, there’s nothing better than automating all the stuff you need to do.

For Harry Potter fans, Google is adding the ability to say, “Hey Google, tell me a Fantastic Beasts Story,” and you’ll hear a story from Pottermore Publishing.

Finally, Google is making it easier to play games on Google Assistant. You can say, “Hey Google, talk to Guess the Drawing for Kids,” to get a puzzle game going on your Assistant devices.
