Google has now enabled a feature on its search app called “plan your trip” to reveal the estimate amount of time people spend in certain locations. The announcement regarding this new feature was made by the company in its Google+ post. Some google users usually use the search engine to make travel plans and this will be of great benefits to such users. This feature not only plans your trip but tells you how entertaining a place is. Its knowledge graph is quite robust and can generate all sort of details without you having to visit any other website. Details like earthquake summaries, showlive listings, stream apps etc can be generated with the search app.

The new feature, visible under ‘Plan your visit’ sub-head in the location card, will come handy for these types of situations and will allow people to plan their trips according to the total time that they have in their hands. It is recommended not rely solely on this feature and more research should be done. No official word has been given on the locations for which this feature will provided. However, there might be more information for selective tourist destinations.

According to market research published by comScore in November 2009, Google Search is the dominant search engine in the United States market, with a market share of 65.6%. Google indexes billions of web pages, so that users can search for the information they desire through the use of keywords and operators.
