iOS 11 Vs Android O
All android phone users, get ready to see a new tasty treat unveiled on tomorrow, though not really sure what Google will call it, Android Oreo? Android Octopus? Android Oatmeal? We’re about to find out.
Apple during its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 5 made a slew of announcements
Below is my tweet in June whilst watching WWDC17
I had to admit, for those who watched WWDC17, and you were an Android OS user, Apple had this kind of flair or (urban slang – swag) that made Android OS users (including myself) feel so small, humiliated and lost, especially that moment when Tim Cook took a dig at our latest Android 7, the Nougat. Whilst we were still feeling all jovial about the latest Nougat update on our Android devices, iOS blew us off with its latest iOS 11. Hopefully this time around Google will help us regain our confidence with its latest software update.
The next major version of Android, Android O will be completely unveiled tomorrow on Monday, August 21 to coincide with the first total solar eclipse to sweep North America in nearly a century will march across the continent. Google announced it would be live streaming the Android O announcement, appropriately enough, via its Eclipse homepage, which is typically used for its Eclipse developer documentation.
According to the site, those who tune into the livestream will “meet the next release of Android and all of its super (sweet) new powers” shortly after the eclipse will end.
We already know quite a bit Android O, thanks to the public beta that was first released in March. The update brings performance improvements, a streamlined OS update method, a picture-in-picture mode, and notification channels. What we don’t know, however, is the final name and when it will be available. Luckily, the wait is almost over.
To watch a livestream of the announcement, be sure to visit Android.com/eclipse. You can also watch it on YouTube below

Ok, to make it more exciting. Let’s play a game. Since we are both not sure what Google will call its latest update, Android Oreo? Android Octopus? Android Oatmeal? Android Onion? Comment with your prediction. My guess is Android Octopus. What about you?

No doubt, it’s gonna be Android Oreo. I only hope it comes with better features, otherwise, what’s the point.
