Google has rolled out today a new update called ‘Night Light’ for its Google Play Books app. This rollout is starting today on iOS and Android. This will make reading at night much easier as the the bright lights could be eye straining. This feature automatically changes the color temperature of the display to a warmer setting according to the time of the day, getting progressively warmer towards the night. With the Night Light feature turned on, the app filters gradually blue light from your screen and replace it with a warm, amber light as the sun sets. The feature will automatically adapt to the amount of natural sunlight outside based on the time of day, which will allow you to read the text on your screen in just the right brightness and temperature.
Google Play Books is a cross-platform ebook application offered by Google. The user may also upload up to 1000 ebooks that are in PDF or EPUB formats to their Google Play Books account cloud storage, and synchronize them between multiple devices.
A new feature which notifies you when your favorite author has published their new book on the Play Store is also included.
