So let’s not push Apple’s latest smartphone to the corner so quickly. Well, Google’s new smartphone has plenty going for it right now. Like how great its camera is, even better than that of the latest iPhone.
But when it comes real-world speed and usage, a lot of smartphone users have been waiting to see Google and Apple go head to head.
PhoneBuff made a speed test pitting the iPhone 7 Plus against Google’s Pixel XL. But let’s talk about specs before we get to the results. The Pixel XL has more RAM than the iPhone 7 Plus, with 4GB of RAM and the latest SnapDragon 821 processor. While the iPhone 7 Plus has just 3GB RAM and Apple’s latest A10 Chip.
The Pixel XL and iPhone 7 Plus opened a number of apps, then went back through and reopened the apps. The Pixel XL did fine at the start, opening apps slightly faster than the iPhone 7 Plus, but the iPhone 7 Plus was much faster overall.
