Google are partnering with Pluralsight and Andela to train 30,000 mobile developers through the Google Africa Certifications Scholarships. For certifications like the Google Associate Android, Mobile Web, and Associate Cloud Engineer certifications, they will give out 1,000 grants.
“Africa is on track to have the largest working-age population of 1.1 billion by 2034. It is important that developers are equipped for the jobs of tomorrow.
“Google’s certifications are developed around a job-task analysis and test learners for skills employers expect developers to have in these domains.”
Here is how to get started:
- Register for your desired Google track
- Take a skill assessment and receive your Pluralsight Skill IQ AND complete one or more hours of Pluralsight courses
- Complete onboarding survey after registration
