Today is October 1 and Nigeria is 55 years old as an independent nation. Google is celebrating Nigeria’s Independence with a Google Doodle.
So if you go to the search engine and you are in Nigeria, you will see the the Google logo transformed to the image above. The image above shows the Google letters in Nigeria’s green and white colours with a flying eagle in the middle. The second “O” in the word shows the two main rivers in Nigeria – river Niger and river Benue.
In 2013, it was a doodle that showed 3 different means of popular public transportation – the tricycle also known as “Keke Marwa or NAPEP”, the Danfo bus and the “Okada” motorcycle. The moving doodle also showed 3 nigerian couples from the 3 major tribes of Nigeria (Yoruba, Ibo and Hausa) flying the Nigerian Flags.
