Gmail, Google’s email service is the seventh service to be used by a billion people. This revelation was made recently when CEO Sundar Pichai announced Q4 2015 earnings. (It initially hit 900 million sometime before last May.) So it joins the league of Search, Chrome, Android, Google Play, Maps, and YouTube.

By the way, it was also mentioned that about 10 percent of replies from Google Inbox users are automatic.

Thanks a billion for helping us make Gmail better and better!https://t.co/Rd82YqwGjl

Facebook also mentioned on the same day that WhatsApp also now has 1 billion users.
