Nigeria’s National Telecoms Operator, Globacom, will in association with reputable brewers, Guinness Plc and Nigeria’s leading airline, Arik Air stage the King Sunny Ade edition of Glo Evergreen Series. It is a special music concert dedicated to honour Nigerian Music Legends who have contributed immensely to the growth and development of the nation’s music industry for decades.
The King Sunny Ade edition of the Glo Evergreen Series is expected to consolidate on the gains of the Ebenezer Obey edition. The Glo Evergreen project has been described as the greatest concert in honour of Nigeria’s music legends.
“The collaboration by the three Nigerian top corporate giants is a further demonstration of the respect the Nigerian corporate world has for our music legends. While Globacom is a leader in the telecoms industry in West Africa, Guinness and Arik are celebrated brands in their sectors in the sub-region. The partnership therefore shows the importance of the music icon being celebrated in this edition of the Glo Evergreen series,” said Globacom in a statement in Lagos on Thursday.
“The night will be a celebration of the legend on parade, King Sunny Ade. KSA will showcase his best songs and take the people down the memory lane. A specially packaged documentary on the legend and his contributions to the growth of the Nigerian music industry will also be played at the event,’’ the statement added.
The King Sunny Ade edition of Glo Evergreen Series will hold at Intercontinental Hotel in Lagos on 28th of February, 2014. King Sunny Ade will entertain a select audience made up of corporate customers and high networth individuals whose profile fits into his evergreen music.
