Get a front row seat for the Samsung Galaxy Note7 Unpacked event – 2 Aug

August 2 is the date and Samsung Galaxy Note7 Unpacked is the event. Samsung will be unveiling the much awaited Galaxy Note7.

There have been so many leaks and we do not expect it to be different from the images leaked on the internet.

This is what we expect it to look like.

Samsung Korea posted a new teaser for the “Next Note” last week hinting on some of the features.

This is what Quentyn Kennemer of Phandroid thinks about some of the hints:

    • They showed rotary telephones in water, which is a hint that the Galaxy Note 7 will be water resistant as the Galaxy S7 was.
    • A girl taking a selfie with a light bulb in her face for lighting suggests some sort of solution for low-light selfies.
    • Someone inputting complicated passwords and patterns — perhaps a tease that the iris scanner should help make authentication easier.
    • A road sign about a curved road teases an Edge display.
    • A highlighter being used to highlight sentences in a book is an obvious nod to the S-Pen.
    • When referring to the number of the Next Note, a question mark follows “5.” Samsung is usually never shy about revealing the number, so it’s another confirmation that the device will be called Galaxy Note 7. That number also appeared in the event invitation the company sent out.

Now back to how you can watch the event is you can’t make it to New York, London or Rio De Janeiro.

There are three options for live streaming the official launch event to experience the excitement of seeing the new Galaxy Note7 for the first time:

    Watching on Mobile

    1. Visit www.samsung.com/galaxy or Samsung Mobile on YouTube when the event begins.
    2. Choose 360 Live Stream.

    * iOS users can only enjoy the event on Samsung Mobile on YouTube

    Watching with Gear VR

    1. Go to the Oculus Store and search for the Unpacked 360 View app.
    2. Download and install it.
    3. Launch the app using the Gear VR headset when the event begins.

    Watching on the PC

    1. Head to www.samsung.com/galaxy when the event begins.
    2. Choose 360 Live Stream.

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will begin streaming on August 2 at 11 a.m. (EST); i.e. 3:00 p.m. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
