Are you a freelancer or small business owner? Do you use LinkedIn to attract the right clients or look for business deals? Well, the “Service Page” on LinkedIn now has two new sections that allow you to offer services and be found in the site’s search results.

LinkedIn’s listings were first introduced in 2019. They can be found in a user’s profile set-up options, and they can also be linked to LinkedIn’s Services Marketplace, where he or she can discover clients.

This update will provide users with the opportunity to validate their service listings. In doing this, LinkedIn will allow you to integrate your LinkedIn Company Page into your Services listing, which will lend greater credibility.

Ordinary Pages on LinkedIn are associated with your organisation. But your Service Page is like a landing page “that showcase your services and businesses,”. The networking site for professionals claims “Linking your pages offers a direct path from your LinkedIn Page to your Service Page for potential clients to view the services you provide. Your linked Page information will also appear on your Service Page when viewed on desktop.”

This means users can now create a link between their Services pages and the company page. This update is only available on LinkedIn Company Pages with a single administrator, and it is only accessible via the desktop version of the site at this time. It’s basically a way for users to add more details about their business and skills to the service list.

How To Link Your Service Page and LinkedIn Page
    1. Access your LinkedIn Service Page Admin view.
    2. Click the Link pages button in the Display services on your company page module.
    3. Select the correct LinkedIn Page.
    4. Click the Link pages button.
    5. Once you receive a confirmation message, click the Add services button.
    6. The View services button name will be selected, and your Service Page URL will auto-populate.
    7. Click the Save button.

A TechCrunch report claims more than 2 million LinkedIn users have already listed their services on the app’s Services section, demonstrating the growing popularity of this feature in the gig economy. As a result of all the different possibilities available, you’ll have more opportunities to attract new clients as well as more ways to promote and demonstrate your expertise.
