Garmin has introduced the Instinct 2 Solar and D2 Air X10 Aviator smartwatches in the United States. The Garmin Instinct 2 Solar smartwatch is available in two sizes and offers an “infinite battery life” due to its solar-powered charging capacity. Additionally, it is available without solar charging capability. Meanwhile, the Garmin D2 Air X10 Aviator smartwatch is intended for pilots and has aviation tools for pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight, as well as health and fitness functions. Additionally, when coupled with a compatible smartphone, the wearable enables wearers to make calls from their wrists.
Garmin Instinct 2 Solar, Garmin D2 Air X10 Aviator price availability
There are two sizes of the Garmin Instinct 2 Solar smartwatch available. The 45mm model is called Instinct 2S, and the 40mm model is called Instinct 2S.
The Instinct 2 Solar and Instinct 2S Solar Standard Edition smartwatches start at $449, but you can get them for even less. There are other models that belong to the Surf Edition line. They start at $399.
The prices for the Instinct 2 and Instinct 2S without solar power start at $349. All the ones that come in Camo and Surf Editions start out at $399.
Garmin Instinct 2, Instinct 2S Solar specifications
The Garmin Instinct 2 Series of smartwatches are durable wearables that can “withstand any element,” according to Garmin. According to Garmin, they have MIL-STD 810 heat and shock resistance, as well as being water resistant up to 100 meters. The smartwatches have high-resolution displays with scratch-resistant glass that has been chemically reinforced.
The Garmin Connect IQ (CIQ) store can be used to download apps, widgets, watch faces, and data fields for the Instinct 2 Series of smartwatches. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display, while the bezel is composed of Stainless Steel. As previously stated, the D2 Air X10 is intended for pilots and includes aviation tools for preflight, in-flight, and postflight. Airport weather for pre-flight knowledge, navigation to neighboring airports, airport and runway information, and an automatic flight log are among these tools.
The D2 Air X10 enables users to make hands-free calls, compose and respond to text messages, and utilize voice assistants.
