Leading mobile social media and value added service provider, Kirusa has announced the appointment of Francis Ebuehi as a member of its advisory board. Announcing the appointment in a statement, Kirusa described Ebuehi as ‘telecom and Internet pioneer’
Francis is currently heading Classifieds and Franchise Business for the e-commerce division of Econet Wireless International, a privately held telecommunications group. He is also the founding partner of Tenth Code Media Limited, a technology media company in Nigeria that owns Innovation Village.
Prior to co-founding Tenth Code Media Limited Nigeria, Ebuehi was Vice President in charge of Value Added Services at Airtel Nigeria, COO of Spinlet, and CEO of ChamsSwitch Limited. Earlier in his career, Francis worked with Accenture and Oceanic Bank.
Commenting on his new role at Kirusa, Francis says, “Kirusa has innovated mobile technologies serving the needs of over 100 million mobile users, and I have had the opportunity to use their products, as well as observe the value and satisfaction they have brought to millions of users in Nigeria. I hope my knowledge and experience of the African telecom and internet industries would help Kirusa grow further in Africa.”
Francis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Benin. An executive MBA alumni of the Lagos Business School of Pan Atlantic University, he also has another Master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Lagos.
