Five African startups are among the ten startups selected for the global Startup Boost program. This initiative is run by Sweden-based tech consulting firm tretton37, which provides pro bono support to startups aiming to impact and change the world.
Of the nearly 50 companies that applied for the program, only ten were picked. Among these, five are from Africa, two of which are from Benin – digital product marketplace Ahiyoyo and farm produce platform Aliments. Other African companies included are Ugandan therapist-matching service Iguru Therapies, Nigerian self-publishing platform Iko Africa, and legal-tech platform Zupoto.
Companies from Sweden, Macedonia, the United Arab Emirates, and Slovenia are also part of the group. These startups will receive cost-free assistance in areas such as programming, design, and strategic planning tailored to their specific needs.
Deniz Yildirim, CEO of tretton37, spoke highly of the chosen startups, noting their innovative ideas with the potential to change or even save lives. He expressed enthusiasm about supporting these startups in making a positive global impact.
