The first trailer of the new and much awaited “Fantastic Four” has been released by 20th Century Fox. This is seven years in waiting. The first movie was released in 2005 and the sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer was released in 2007. Fantastic Four was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1961.
From the trailer, this looks much darker and more dramatic than the previous movies, more like a sci-fi film based on a comic book.
The storyline of this movie is as follows:
Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
Interestingly, this new movie sports an entirely new cast;
- Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic,
- Kate Mara as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman,
- Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing, and
- Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.

The film is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on August 7, 2015.
I hear the sequel to the movie is already planned for 2017, and there are rumors there might be a crossover with the “X-Men”
