    Fintech startups in emerging markets to benefit from £10 million Funding from UK

    London Mayor, Peter Estlin announced funding of £10 million towards the Catalyst Fund.

    The Catalyst Fund provides financing to fintech startups in emerging economies.

    The funding will enable 30 fintechs in emerging markets such as Africa, to connect with international investors and mentors.

    The Fund helps fintech startups access early-stage capital, partnerships that can enable them to scale, and access to the high potential talent pool.

    Jane Marriot , the British High Commissioner to Kenya says fintech companies create growth, jobs, and promote economic growth.

    Five fintechs from the Catalyst fund will be selected to attend the UK Fintech week in 2020.
