The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced a 25 billion Fund for the youths as part of efforts geared towards addressing the demands of the #EndSARS protesters and other issues breeding youth-related restiveness in the country.

The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, made this known on Saturday in Kaduna at a stakeholders’ meeting with the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe.

Ahmed said that the meeting accedes with the directive of  President Muhammadu Buhari to ministers and governors to dialogue with stakeholders and the youths to address their agitations.

The minister also disclosed that the youth fund will be increased to N75 billion within the next three years explaining that the funds will be used to aid the youths to actualize their entrepreneurial aspirations and create job opportunities.

Balarabe while speaking said that the meeting was set up to generate ideas to combat the security challenges caused by the #EndSARS protests.
