The ScaleUp Agribusiness Accelerator Programme targets excellent Nigerian agribusiness entrepreneurs, including Founders, CEOs and Own-managers, whose businesses are currently growing and are interested in scaling their enterprises by expanding the market reach and attract potential investors and strategic partners.
The agribusiness programme will run for six months with activities, including a one-week accelerator Bootcamp, interactive workshops, business support services, consulting sessions, one-on-one and group mentoring sessions with a team of high-experience sector faculty members and advisors.
The ScaleUp Lab and FATE Foundation develop the Agribusiness Accelerator Programme.

Commencement of the Programme
The Agribusiness Accelerator Programme will begin with induction and an intensive one-week accelerator boot camp. Then follow a detailed GAP Analysis to help each entrepreneur develop an individual growth plan and tailored roadmap that addresses the business’s growth needs to scale.
Programme Sessions
The sessions are carefully designed to build the entrepreneurs’ capacities through workshop and coaching sessions, group learning and feedback. It also involves one-to-one mentoring and individual growth support for each participant and business. Entrepreneurs have the liberty to meet and interact with many entities, including agribusiness experts, investors and partners. Lastly, at the end of the accelerator programme, there will be a Demo Day to give room for each of the participants to showcase their innovative agribusiness solutions and pitch to key funding partners.
End of Programme
The Agribusiness Accelerator Programme will end with the official graduation and presentations of certificates at the FATE Annual Celebration in December 2021.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a Nigerian citizen – male or female.
- Must be between ages 21 – 45 years as of February 1, 2021.
- Must be Founder, Owner manager or CEO of a currently growing agribusiness enterprise (one applicant per business can be accepted).
- Must be operating a CAC registered agribusiness venture at the growth stage, currently in operation and generating income.
- Must have at least an annual turnover of Fifteen Million Naira (#15,000,000) only.
- Must have at least three (3) full-time, highly skilled staff in a managerial capacity (This excludes part-time staff and low/semi-skilled staff).
- Must be available on a full-time based at the start of the one-week boot camp and ALL other activities needed throughout the duration of the programme.
- Must be able to attend all classes and participate in all activities of the Agribusiness Accelerator Programme.
