Facebook just announced that it’s messaging app just hit 1 million active users which is really a rapid growth. Just January, the app hit 800 million users and 900 million users in April, this is really impressive for a standalone messaging app. Although the company doesn’t only run messenger as its only messages services… WhatsApp is also owned by the company which also recently hit the milestone of 1 billion users, now these are impressive figures for the social media giant.
Facebook messenger chief David Marcus released a statement saying; “We remain focused on helping connect people to the people and business who matter most. Thank you to everyone who uses Messenger around the world, we’re looking forward to connecting the next billion.”
Messenger has now become the second most popular iOS app of all time and has over 1billion downloads on Android with over 1 billion messages sent every month.
