Facebook has now made it easier for you to donate to non-profit organizations with the launch of their donate button to their mobile app and website. With this you can make donation to any NGO of your choice. The new button links externally to the non-profit organizations website.
According to Facebook’s announcement, “We are excited to introduce a new “Donate Now” call-to-action option on both link ads and Pages. Now, it’s easier than ever for nonprofits to connect with people who care about their causes and encourage them to contribute through the website of their choice.”
The new Donate Now buttons will be integrated into mobile and desktop. It should appear on the charity’s Facebook Page and as you can see in the screenshot, it will also appear in sponsored posts so that you can go ahead and donate easily.
As compared to the ‘Shop now’ and ‘Book now’ buttons previously released late last year, the donate button links users outside the social media network to the non-profits website. This new development might be as a result of wary users giving their account information on the social network. This is definitely good news for the non-profits as donors have easy access to make more donations.
Another alternative for Nonprofits is that they can seamlessly add a donate button using Donorbox. Donorbox provides nonprofits with simple, effective tools to manage their fundraising activities and connect with donors on a deeper level.
