If you have not downloaded the Facebook messenger, this is the time to do so as Facebook is removing the messaging capability from its mobile web application. This is according to a notice served to users: “Your conversations are moving to Messenger,” it says.

For now, you can still ignore the message but if you really want to chat with your friends, you will simply be barred from using the mobile web application and the only option will be to download the official Messenger app.

Many people who want to save their data by using the mobile web application will have to decide whether to download the messenger or not,

As at April 2016, the number of users of Facebook messenger app was about 900 million monthly users. These number of users are expected to rise with this action taken by Facebook.
