Despite widespread criticism that followed the announcement that Facebook overstated its video views, the social media giant’s advertising revenue is projected to exceed $30 billion in 2017 according to eMarketer.

Ad revenue will gross $21.98 billion in 2016 which is an increase of 66.6% when compared to last year.

Furthermore, a large chunk of this rise in ad revenue will come from mobile and outside the United States of America which clearly reflect the global growth of Facebook.

eMarketer is a 93%-owned subsidiary market research company that provides insights and trends related to digital marketing, media, and commerce according to Wikipedia.
