Facebook Adds Selling Features To Groups

    0

Facebook is making it very easy for members in a group to be able to sell items. Members of a group can now add items for sale, include the price and pick up address or have interested members designate a delivery location.

    Sale Features

There will also be a feature to indicate if an item has been sold out or is still available and to check out which items in the catalogue have been previously sold.

This new feature will be very helpful to small enterprises especially to businesses in Africa where e-commerce sites are a luxury to most. With these new features, retailers and individuals will be able to sell items at short notice. Likewise, buyers who are not tech savvy will find it much easier buying off Facebook than from a relatively more complicated site.

This is another first for a social network. If it succeeds, similar moves could be implemented on Twitter.
