It’s a good day for Blackberry users out there. The Blackberry Classic is finally available for preorder, though it wasn’t too long BlackBerry introduced the Passport to the market, but the company is taking a bold move in introducing another Smartphone to it’s fans.
Well, I am really excited about this device, so let’s just call this device a successor to the classic Blackberry Bold we’ve all come to love in the past…. “Yes, BlackBerry finally listened to its users this time.”
The BlackBerry Classic (aka Q20) has been teased by the company for many months now, though it’s been announced already way back in February but as of today, Blackberry is finally taking pre-orders.
The QWERTY keyboard-equipped phone will cost $450 off-contract and is expected to start getting to users hands by mid-December 2014.
The BlackBerry Classic is running BlackBerry 10 and will have the ability to run Android apps from the Amazon Appstore. The major difference about this device is that it’s sporting BlackBerry’s traditional physical keys, with a button to pick up calls, a button to hang up, and the classic BlackBerry trackpad we all loved…. “Yeah, a Trackpad”.
This is something Blackberry users have been demanding for quite a long time and I can bet my money on this; a lot of Blackberry loyalists are really pumped to have this device get to them.
Not much have been revealed about its specs but details about the Classic will be released and made public on December 17. That’s the day during which BlackBerry will hold a “launch” event for the Classic, but we don’t expect something breathtaking.
According to Blackberry’s blog post, initial quantities will be limited, which could mean that Blackberry is only producing the number of devices it expects to sell. So if you’re a Blackberry hardcore fan in the US and you’ll rather have this device before its goes out of stock, you can pre-order the device by clicking here.
