Ex-Capital One Managing Vice President, Pawel Swiatek is joining Moniepoint as its Chief Operating Officer. He will have the responsibility of driving strategy and execution by building policies, tools, measurements and culture to help Moniepoint reach its goals.

Before joining Moniepoint, Swiatek worked as the managing Vice President at Capital One, an American bank holding company for four years.

Tosin Eniolorunda, the CEO and founder of Moniepoint said that Swiatek will work closely with him, and the rest of the senior management team, to ensure that the company is able to more effectively serve its over 600,000 businesses through a data-science-led approach.

Pawel Swiatek hails from Poland but has spent a major part of his life in the United States of America.

Before Capital One, he was part of the management team at the world’s largest hedge fund, Bridgewater. In his decade there, he oversaw growth from 150 employees to over 2,000. He also previously worked for McKinsey and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Moniepoint, recently went through a rebranding exercise, changing its name from TeamApt and relocating its headquarters to United kingdom.

Moniepoint currently processes the majority of the POS transactions in Nigeria with an annualized Total Payments Volume (TPV) of more than $170 billion and a customer base of over 600,000 businesses which enabled it to more than double its annual revenues in 2022.

Swiatek is joining at a pivotal time in the life of this company and it is expected that he will use his experience in Financial Inclusion to help build a more resilient structure for the times ahead
