The Cape Verde leg of Seedstars culminated in events management startup, Passafree, claimed top spot.
In so doing, Passafree secured itself a spot at the global seedstars summit, where it would compete for USD 500,000 in equity financing among other prizes.
The Seedstars Summit 2020 will be held in Switzerland. Representatives from 30 African countries will be in the competition.
Seedtstars has already selected winners from Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Egypt, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola.

Passafree has developed a mobile application that enables users to promote, sell and buy tickets to various events in Cape Verde.
The startup emerged tops of nine local startups.
In addition to attending the Switzerland Summit, the startup will also, attend the Seedstars Africa Summit in Johannesburg in December and access to a three-month investment readiness programme.
In the runners up position was Bonako Games and Nhabex.
Seedstars World’s next stop is Cameroon at ActivSpaces on 11 October to select the best startup in the country at Seedstars Douala.
