Eurochannel is launching in Nigeria on the new pay-TV provider Montage TV. According to Montage’s CEO, Bamidele Adetunji, “Montage is delighted to go into this partnership with Eurochannel. We are proud to be the first platform to showcase and promote European culture and lifestyle through movies, documentaries, music and television series. We believe that this is one partnership that will benefit Nigeria and the whole of West Africa.”
Cable TV has been undergoing some sort of Monopoly in Nigeria with the likes of DSTV having various bouquets with quality programs for all class of citizens. Others includes Star times and GOtv. The first Montage Cable TV decoder was presented to a former president of Nigeria in person of Olusegun Obasanjo in his Abeoukta home who commended the creation of the Cable TV.
