It was bound to happen sooner or later. As usual, once there is a new product or service introduced by a mobile telco, it is bound to be introduced by another telco within a couple of days.
Anyways, it is the norm in the market. Etisalat has just launched Easy Adz, a mobile advertising service. This is similar to MTN’s “mobile ad” which was introduced into the Nigerian market in June 2012.
Listening to Lai Onafowokan of Etisalat Nigeria on 92.3 Inspiration FM this evening, Easy Adz is a permission-based mobile advertising service that enables companies advertise their products and services to potential customers on their mobile phones. He went on to say that “the service is free to Etisalat subscribers which means that all messages are delivered at no cost to Etisalat subscribers.”
To subscribe, subscribers are requested to send “YES” to 30500.
For Corporate customers who want to reach a targetted audience, Easy Adz enables companies to advertise their products and services to potential customers on their mobile phones by offering valuable information, deals, discounts, promotions, event details and freebies. Every day, an average customer is unsuccessfully targeted with over 3,000 adverts competing for his/her attention, however due to its intelligent profiling and targeting, EasyAdz engages the consumer effortlessly. With EasyAdz, a higher Return on Investment compared to traditional media is guaranteed!
For Subscribers, they are expected to get the latest and best deals in town with Etisalat EasyAdz! Etisalat EasyAdz offers the subscriber the best deals, discounts, promotions, freebies, events and new offerings from brands the subscriber is interested in directly to his/her mobile phone. Be the first to know, better yet always be in the know with EasyAdz. EasyAdz offers only deals that you are interested in when you opt-in for the service, ultimately discouraging random spam messages from advertisers.
