Epic Games has announced a new update, which according to the blog post, gamers can “unlock new Styles for Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass Outfits, and speaking of new looks, demonstrate unique combat technique with Darth Vader’s Lightsaber!”
Fortnite’s Chapter 3 Season 3 is in full swing, having introduced a number of brand new features, content, POIs, and more. Thanks to this latest update, it seems Epic Games has no intention of slowing down, introducing plenty of new additions to keep things feeling fresh and fun.
One new feature that is slowly being rolled out to gamers in Fortnite is the ability to add Social Tags. With Social Tags, you can select tags based on your favourite game mode, your gameplay style (Chill, Mic Off, Mic On, etc.), and your preferred competitive events.
Players will also be recommended Fortnite experiences based on their social tags. In the announcement, the developer says not everyone will have access immediately. It, however, noted that it will roll out gradually to all gamers based on the state of the Beta test.
To add Social Tags to your Fortnite profile, follow the steps below.
- Launch Fortnite.
- Click on your profile icon in the sidebar.
- Select “+Add Tag” and pick the Social Tag you would like to add.
It is really as simple as that. Once you have at least one social tag, you’ll be able to send party invites to and receive party invites from players in your server region with matching tags.
The new Social Tags function goes live when Fortnite gamers toggle on the “Looking For Party” function. On the other hand, when it is disabled, invites from players with similar social tags would not come in.
