The Lekki Concession Company (LCC) has launched a new solution, PayReminder, to ensure that your eTag account is always topped up.
This solution, developed by SimplePay, enables E-tag owners to make payment when their eTag balances are low. It triggers an sms message when a customer’s balance reaches a certain threshold. The sms comes with a payment link and this link when clicked, allows commuters to conveniently top up their E-tags by following the prompt on the message to complete payment. Value is given to the customer instantly after top-up is completed.
The service is a safe and convenient way for commuters to make payment. This also allows for commuters to stop worrying about running out of ETag balances or queue to top-up at the LCC offices.
The service was unveiled on the 13th of March 2017 as ceremony held between officials of noth companies – LCC and SimplePay. In attendance at the signing ceremony were Mr. M.M Hassan MD/CEO (LCC), Mr. Olumide Oni, COO (LCC), Mr. Rasheed Olaoluwa, Chairman (SimplePay limited), Mr. Simeon Ononobi, Founder/CEO (SimplePay Limited), Mr. Etimbuk Bassey COO (SimplePay limited) amongst others.
Speaking at the signing ceremony LCC Chairman Mr. Hassan, welcomed the idea of the PayReminder™service, as he stated that the service would reduce the issue of cash collections at the tollgate, and also reduce traffic congestions. He also praised the innovation as one of the first of its kind in Nigeria and believes that Nigerian innovation to be brought to the fore.
Also at the ceremony Mr. Simeon Ononobi CEO (SimplePay Limited) said that this partnership would help LCC and SimplePay to collaborate in providing innovation and reducing the stress being faced by commuters. He also promised that SimplePay limited will continue to work with LCC to offer better solutions to commuters. “For me this is just the beginning of a great working relationship between two forward thinking entities”.
