Over the past year, since June, a total of 22 entrepreneurs from 10 tech startups across Africa have been welcomed into the global Endeavor network, receiving a wide range of support to help their businesses expand and grow.
Endeavor is an initiative committed to propelling long-term economic growth by identifying, mentoring, and expediting the progression of the world’s top-impact entrepreneurs. In recent years, it has opened its doors to several African entrepreneurs.
Just last June, Disrupt Africa documented the dozen ventures that Endeavor had selected in the past year. Subsequently, an additional 22 entrepreneurs from 10 African tech startups have become part of the global network. As of now, Endeavor supports a vast of 2,555 entrepreneurs helming 1,568 firms across 42 different markets globally.
In June 2023, at its 38th Virtual International Selection Panel (ISP), Endeavor admitted Deepankar Rustagi of the Nigerian retail-tech company OmniBiz and Said Ouissal of Morocco’s edge management solution firm ZEDEDA.
In July, at the 96th ISP held in Bali, Indonesia, several members of Egyptian food delivery firm Breadfast and Nigerian food supply chain company Vendease also joined the network.
Later, in August, during the 39th virtual ISP, members of the Egyptian social commerce startup Taager were welcomed. In September, Wissem Souissi of the Tunisian due diligence platform Dasseti was selected.
In October, at the 97th ISP in Rome, Italy, founders of the Egyptian proptech startup Nawy and Kenyan startup Wowzi, which links African creatives with global brands, were also included.
In January, Michael Heyink from the South African asset financing company Yellow was brought into the Endeavor network at the 43rd Virtual ISP. Lastly, in February, at the 44th Virtual ISP, members of the South African mobile games developer Carry1st were welcomed to the network.
