Grinta, the pioneering e-commerce platform tailored to empower independent pharmacists across Africa and the Middle East, has announced the acquisition of Auto-Cure, marking its third strategic acquisition. This acquisition, sealed by Mohamed Azab, Co-founder and CEO at Grinta, and Mohamed Rezk, Co-founder of Auto-Cure, propels Grinta’s mission of revolutionizing the pharmaceutical supply chain while amplifying its market presence.
Driving Digital Transformation for Independent Pharmacists
Auto-Cure, founded in 2022, is a B2B e-commerce platform that has been making waves in Alexandria, Egypt, by catering to independent pharmacists. The company was established by Mohamed Rezk and his co-founder Amr Kamel, with Mohamed Rezk taking on the role of partner at Grinta and spearheading the Commercial Team.
Mohamed Azab, exuding enthusiasm about the acquisition, shared that it aligns seamlessly with Grinta’s vision of delivering customer-centric, data-driven, and fintech-enabled solutions for modernizing the pharmaceutical supply chain. Azab stated, “The acquisition of Auto-Cure underscores Grinta’s commitment to providing value to our clients and expanding our footprint in the Egyptian market.”
A Trailblazing Journey of Expansion
Having been in operation since 2021, Grinta has strategically acquired two companies prior to Auto-Cure – PH Store, a digital platform serving northern Egypt, and EME, a software development firm with a robust tech team. These acquisitions have fuelled Grinta’s rapid expansion across nine governorates within Egypt. As a testament to their dedication, the company has engaged with over 7,000 pharmacies and facilitated more than 200,000 orders since its inception.
Mohamed Rezk, the Founder and CEO of Auto-Cure, expressed his excitement about joining forces with Grinta. He shared his belief that this collaboration will extend beyond Alexandria to encompass the Middle East and Africa. Mohamed Rezk added, “Uniting with Grinta’s brilliant team opens up a realm of possibilities as we continue our journey of digitizing the market and delivering customer satisfaction.”

Auto-Cure’s innovative approach to digitizing the pharmaceutical market through its multivendor B2B platform has been instrumental in transforming the way pharmacists operate. With Auto-Cure already having dispatched 5,000 orders and served 450 pharmacies in the past 18 months, its integration into Grinta’s ecosystem is set to magnify its impact.
