Egyptian skills development startup Eyouth has announced a significant partnership with global education consultancy EDT&Partners, backed by a substantial investment of US$6 million. This collaboration aims to equip one million young individuals across Africa and the Middle East with essential digital skills necessary for today’s job market.
Founded in 2016 and transitioning to an online platform in 2018, Eyouth specializes in designing and developing its own online training courses. These courses are tailored to help young people enhance their careers and acquire the skills demanded by employers in the labor market.
The partnership with EDT&Partners will focus on training individuals aged 15 to 35 in critical areas such as artificial intelligence, programming, data analysis, digital marketing, and modern pedagogy. The initiative will leverage advanced digital tools and strategic educational frameworks to ensure effective learning outcomes.
The program will utilize Eyouth’s established platform and its expertise in skills development throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, combined with EDT&Partners’ innovative educational technologies and methodologies. Set to launch in February 2025, the program will also offer financial support to qualified educators in the region, further enhancing the quality of training provided.
Mostafa Abdel Latif, co-founder and CEO of Eyouth, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating;
To date, we have successfully developed the skills of over three million young people. Through this collaboration, we aim to accelerate and empower an additional one million youth, enabling them to unlock their potential and drive innovation across Africa and the Middle East.
This partnership represents a significant step forward in addressing the skills gap in the region, providing young people with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
