Egypt’s Baramoda, EduPloyment, and UAE’s The Zola Collective have won the top three positions in the third edition of the C3 Social Impact Accelerator program powered by HSBC.
Baramoda is the first agritech startup in Africa and the Middle East that specializes in sustainable agricultural innovations, develops biofertilizers from Agriwaste.
The program attracted more applications this year with over one thousand applications with 42 entrepreneurs from 8 countries across the MENAT (Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey) region, which covers 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The three winners were selected from the 24 finalists Have received pro bono consulting support from Bain & Co, equity-free cash prizes from HSBC, and pro bono legal support from Al Tamimi & Company, additionally to a complimentary license from DMCC.
The entrepreneurs have been supported tremendously by C3s corporate partners through board meeting simulations and took part in the selection of finalists as a member of the judging panel.
The winners will also benefit from Amazon Web Services promotional credits as part of its Activate program and get support from FH Insights a corporate training company to assist them to align the values of their company with their mission.
C3 developed a new interactive format of an online program in collaboration with data analytics experts and learning technology providers which assist the entrepreneur to maximize their learning outcomes and efficiently make use of the learnings acquired for the three-month program.
The program underlined the collaboration between different ecosystem payers in their goal to assist the entrepreneurs.
