Easy Taxi has been awarded the “Best Taxi Booking App” at the just concluded 2015 Nigeria Technology Awards on Saturday November 21st in Onikan, Lagos.
The Nigeria Technology Award is organized to recognize and reward Technology Entrepreneurs, Innovators, Inventors, Academicians and policy makers (Government) in Nigeria. It covers more than 20 categories contribute towards building a sustainable economy using technology, the Awards also aimed to encourage local practitioners to develop innovative and creative Technology solutions, which will uplift the image of Nigeria both locally and internationally.
Receiving the award on behalf of the company was Miss Adebusola Babatunde, PR & Events Associate, Easy Taxi Nigeria and she read out a speech from the Managing Director, Ms Adaora Asala.
Asala’s speech stated the differentiating factor of Easy taxi, how the app has served as a platform for Lagos and Abuja drivers to earn more and improve their livelihood, continuously provide safer and convenient transport option for passengers as well as the company’s plans to expand into other cities in 2016.
Founded in 2013, Easy Taxi was a pioneer in the Nigerian taxi hailing and revolutionized urban transportation. This shone the light of opportunities for similar taxi apps to move into the country.
