Easy Taxi Egypt and the non-profit organisation Darb 1718 have started working together to provide safe and convenient transportation for visitors. This means that they can attend their favourite events at the vibrant cultural centre, located in Old Cairo, without worrying about how they will get home.
In June 2014, Easy Taxi and Darb 1718 started working together with the aim of providing convenient and safe transportation for visitors, so that they can attend their favourite events at Darb 1718 without worrying about making their way back home.
Darb 1718 is an Egyptian non-profit organization founded in 2008 and located in the midst of historic Old Cairo. Since then, it has become a vibrant centre for contemporary art and culture in Egypt. It provides workshops, programs and initiatives to educate and mentor emerging artists, and offers them a space to exhibit their work alongside established artists.
Since Easy Taxi’s main purpose is to drive passengers from one place to another in a fast, easy and safe way, it is now the official means of transportation for visitors, as the centre’s location means that it might otherwise by tricky to reach. Visitors can come to the Easy Taxi booth, where team members explain to them how the service works, and most of them then request a taxi to drive them back home.
