Multichoice’s DStv inked a deal with music app Joox to offer a new package. The new partner? Local streaming service (think a South African Spotify), Joox… which, not coincidentally, is also part of the Naspers stable that includes DStv, Showmax, Voov and others.
If you’re a DStv subscriber, you’re in for a treat. The Joox VIP family package is free of charge for DStv subscribers and up to five family members.
The Chief Commercial Officer of Tencent Africa, Thabiet Allie, declared, “Unparalleled on-demand entertainment for all the family in the palm of your hand. The new Joox VIP family package is exclusively available to DStv customers.”
Joox offers an array of local and international songs and provides users exclusive features, such as karaoke and in-app competitions and rewards along with exclusive artist content, playlists and the charts.
This offer is available to anyone who is a DStv Premium, Compact, or Compact Plus package holder. To get started, download and install Joox (available on iOS and Android), sign in with a new or existing account, and click on the DStv banner displayed on the screen. Then select Joox VIP, and then click on DStv customers.
At this stage you’ll input your ID number to verify that it is truly you, the DStv account holder. Then you’ll receive a one-time pin that you will use to access Joox.
Following the activation, subscribers may add on family members and start enjoying the music.
