Dropbox lacks advanced features and business technologies – DriveHQ

Cloud services-providing company, DriveHQ has slammed Dropbox over what it described as the latter’s lack of advanced features and business technologies. In an email sent to its 2 million users, DriveHQ said it was years ahead Dropbox, Box, iCloud, Skydrive and Google Drive.

“As you may know, DriveHQ has been providing cloud services to users for more than a decade. Our service was years ahead of Dropbox, Box, iCloud, Skydrive and Google Drive. People were not even aware of Cloud Storage though it is now an instrumental part of how businesses run,” DriveHQ said.

“Today, we have 2 million users ranging from SMBs to Fortune 500s. As a company focused on technologies, DriveHQ engineers have developed an abundance of advanced features that are far superior to other cloud services. However, we did a substandard job of explaining the advantages of our services to each user. In fact, we have sent very few communication emails to our users!”

It said newcomers such as Dropbox “were able to generate a great deal of hype through referral promotions, even though they lacked advanced features and business technologies.”

It also highlighted its superior features.

It said: “As opposed to a single sync folder, DriveHQ offers a complete cloud IT solution; Our technologies are more mature and robust than our competitors’; We have a skilled support team truly dedicated to assisting our customers; We are a stable and profitable company. Many of our competitors are still losing money and as a result rely on more and more VC funding.”

“Dropbox, Box and Google Drive don’t have the depth of features to power your business. Their folder synchronization cannot easily scale to multiple computers and multiple users. What you need is a virtual file server, drive mapping, online backup, group sharing, collaboration and other hosting services for your business.

“Our price is absolutely the lowest for business services. Don’t just look at the storage price, our competitors’ user license prices are ludicrous, e.g.: Dropbox charges $900/year for only 5 users, whereas DriveHQ’s price is only $29.99/year for 6 user licenses.”
