Diamond Bank Plc. Nigeria has announced the appointment of Dr. Chris Ogbechie as the new Chairman of Diamond Bank Plc. effective January 1 2015
He takes over from Igwe Ugochukwu Nnaemeka Achebe who led the board since January 1 2007.
Dr Ogbechie served as Non-Executive Director of the Company between 2005 and January 1, 2015. He has a First Class Honors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manchester University and a Masters of Business Administration from Manchester Business School. He has experience in marketing and strategy derived from his work as Head of marketing/sales at Nestle Nigeria, Xerox and from his consulting work with Nigerian firms. He has been involved with several start-ups and is on the board of several companies. He is a faculty staff of the Lagos Business School, where he teaches Strategy and Corporate Governance.
