Saucecode is a project aimed at discovering and celebrating the finest tech talents in Africa starting with Nigeria. it was conceived to challenge the talents in our ecosystem, encourage programming best practise, promote collaboration, make new role models out of the very best and put Nigeria on the map again.
The organizers hope to stir up the intellectual fabric of the Nigerian tech ecosystem by promoting competence and excellence. The Saucecode project is about inspiring the continent to groom the number of technical minds required to build the future.
Saucecode is a product of Findworka, a freelance hiring platform that builds and deploys great technology for organizations without the need to extend your payroll.
The Competition
Teams consisting of a maximum of four people and a minimum of 2 will compete to be the best top-notch technical team in Nigeria. On signifying their interest, Participants would form teams to solve one from many of the listed problems and build their prototype in 4 weeks. Please check the timeline for more information.
The top 10 teams with the highest votes make it to the next round where judges will select the five(5) teams to advance to the finals. These five(5) teams will then compete against each other by pitching to the judges at the finals.

- 1. $1000 cash prize.
- 2. Admission tickets to attend 2-days conference of Facebook’s F8 2018 California, United States (valued at $800 USD each).
- 3. Advice and coaching for the winning team to prepare their application for the Afrolynk’s $50K startup challenge
- 4. Admission tickets to attend Afrolynk’s conference in 2018.
