Spanish-based on-demand courier company, Glovo, has officially launched its service in Mombasa – Kenya.
This comes soon after the firm raised close to KES 17 Billion to fuel its expansion in Africa, and add more categories to its delivery portfolio.
Glovo has successfully been operating in Kenya’s Capital, Nairobi and its outskirts. It also operates in Kitengela and Nakuru.
It has partnerships with popular outlets such as Chicken Inn, Java House, and Naivas supermarkets, which also have several locations in the coastal city of Mombasa.
As such, Mombasa users of Glovo will be able to access items such as food, groceries, drinks and courier services on demand.

Over 150 brands and franchises have partnered with the firm. Among them are retailer Carrefour, and Naivas, Simbisa Africa and the Artcaffe restaurant chain.
Glovo purchases, picks up, and delivers products ordered through its mobile app.
In Africa, the firm operates in Kenya, Morocco, Egypt and Ivory Coast. It plans to expand to Ghana, Nigeria, and Tanzania
