Dave Goldberg, the CEO of online survey site SurveyMonkey died suddenly on Friday, May 1 at the age of 47. Goldberg had served as CEO of SurveyMonkey since 2009. He was the husband of Facebook’s COO Sheryl Sandberg.
Under Dave Goldberg, SurveyMonkey grew from a handful of employees to more than 450 and acquired 25 million customers.
A History graduate from Harvard, Dave once worked at Yahoo.
Robert Goldberg, Dave’s brother posted the news on his Facebook page Saturday morning. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared this post on his own page shortly after.
