LovedBy, a technology and consultancy business, has announced a data partnership with Dexcom, a glucose monitor manufacturer that will assist adolescent patients with diabetes to cope with their condition better.

Dexcom manufactures a wearable continuous glucose monitoring device in the form of a small patch on the arm that allows glucose data to be streamed in real-time to an app on the smartphone of the users. LovedBy translates the data and place to context through small 30 seconds snippets to assist the younger audience in having the required information and guide them to have better outcomes of their conditions.

The data-sharing collaboration is the latest step in the current partnership between two companies with the aim of bringing personalized and contextual educational content to adolescents having Type 1 diabetes to assist them with their condition.

Recent figures from the International Diabetes Federation shows that over 1.1 million adolescent and children are living with Type 1 diabetes globally requires a variety of management conditions for adults.

The CEO of LovedBy, Matt Farrar said: “Dexcom has supported our aspirations to impact lives of millions of adolescents for over two years. We work collaboratively because we take their amazing real-time glucose data and humanise It: by converting it to a real-life context that the GenZ audience can understand. We are working on clinical trials in the UK and have a long-term strategy and joint marketing activity with our GenZ community in the UK, the US, and EMEA. We are thoroughly hoping to work with them in years to come.

Erik Bjorkman, general manager and SVP, DexCom, added: “We’re thrilled to continue our ongoing, exciting work with the team at LovedBy, who help Dexcom bring effective diabetes management to even more people through their expertise in Gen Z.”
