Crop2cash has emerged winners at the just concluded FCMB-Wennovation Hub Agrictech Incubation Programme Demo day.
The Incubation Programme which culminated in a demo day on Monday, August 27 had called for ideas from agrobased startups from the six geopolitical zones in the country.
Impressively, 198 applications were received and after an intense 2 weeks review of the applications, ten startups made it to the finals.
The ten finalists were Agromart, Oga Farmer, Alosfarm, Kosher Integrated Farms, Crops2cash, Dilivas Box, Comestibles, FarmMonie, Farm Spark and Green Maple.
The ten finalists also pitched their ideas in front of juries of which Crop2cash; a startup which connects farmers to capital and profitable markets emerged winners with an equity free grant of 1,250,000 Naira, while the runner up Dilivas Box, which gives users easy access to healthy eating plans and ingredients to meet their health goals and also delivers neatly customized boxes of ingredients tailored to match corresponding recipes prepared by their nutritionists and chefs went home with 1,000,000 Naira grant.
The FCMB sponsored Wennovation Hub Agrictech incubation program seeks to guide early stage entrepreneurs to test and validate their ideas as well as gather their first set of customers or pivot if need be. This is done this through a combination of financial support, guidance and training.
FCMB interestingly is fast becoming the preferred Bank in the Techspace through its different activities and programmes aimed at the development of tech startups across Nigeria.
