A Samsung Senior Executive has finally confirmed that the Samsung Smart watch, the Galaxy Gear, will be unveiled in Berlin, Germany on September 4. This is two days ahead of the official opening of this year’s IFA consumer electronics fair.
The company executive, Lee Young-hee, the executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business said this in an exclusive interview with The Korea Times, yesterday.
According to Lee, “We will be introducing a new wearable concept device called Galaxy Gear at our own event in Berlin on Sept. 4.” She also said that “The Gear won’t have a flexible display. The new device will enhance and enrich the current smart mobile experience in many ways. It will lead a new trend in smart mobile communications. We are confident that the Gear will add meaningful momentum to the mobile industry.
The executive said that the upcoming device is mainly targetted at young trend setters.
