Executive producer of the show, David Fury, has confirmed the News on Twitter that the hit show “24” will be coming back as a limited series.
This is in response to Deadline’s article on the hit show. Fox is in early discussions to bring back the hit show.
After “24” wrapped up its eight-season run in 2010, a “24” movie was put into development, although it never got off the ground. Sutherland most recently starred on the Fox/20th TV drama Touch, which is being cancelled after two seasons.
For those not familiar with the program, “24” is an American television series produced for the Fox network and syndicated worldwide, starring Kiefer Sutherland as Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) agent Jack Bauer. Each 24-episode season covers 24 hours in the life of Bauer, using the real time method of narration. Premiering on November 6, 2001, the show spanned 192 episodes over eight seasons, with the series finale broadcast on May 24, 2010.
