The Commonwealth Broadband Forum 2015 is set to kick off tomorrow in Nigeria’s capital city of Abuja and is organised by the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO).

CTO noted that the impact of broadband on economic development is well proven. It brings a significant shift in both connectivity and services, but more efforts are required by all stakeholders to achieve wider broadband roll-out, equitable access and effective usage.

“This event will discuss policy approaches and regulatory interventions needed to promote broadband, showcase cost-effective and efficient technologies, and examine successful business models while facilitating partnerships,” CTO said.

The forum is hosted by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
